Obituary

Viola, a beloved sister, has left us with a heavy heart. She was better known as "Vi." To call her name or to have her to call your name or to have her call your name was always a warm greeting from a sweet friend that lifted your spirits. She will remember for her warm and welcoming personality, always greeting everyone with a smile. She had a deep love for her family, friends and church, and her warmth touched us all.

Vi loved the Lord and was devoted to her church, First Baptist Church in Guthrie, OK. She was known to be active in the community and committed to doing good in the community she served. Vi was a proud Alum of Faver High School and was a member of the Faver Alumni Association, Logan County N.A.A.C.P., Taste and Tell, Logan County Heritage Choir, General Daniels Community Thanksgiving Feast, Logan County Democratic Club and Martin Luther King Parade Committee.

Her daughter Angela Copeland, mother Opal Beasley, father Leslie Johnson, brothers Wendell Mack and Calvin Carter precede Viola in death. Cherishing her memories are sister Eliza Owens (Lester) of Guthrie, OK, brothers Lloyd Beasley of Omaha, NE, and Marvin Mack (Cheryl) of Oklahoma City, OK and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her memory will live on and we will cherish the moments we shared with her. Rest in peace, dear Viola.
