Victoria
Goode
Oct 4, 1995 — Dec 16, 2022
Victoria Goode, daughter of James and Crystal Goode, was born on October4, 1995, in Oklahoma City. She left behind three siblings, Daemen King, the late James Jacob Goode, and Dominic Goode.
Victoria lived a large portion of her early life in Oklahoma and graduated from John Marshall HS in 2014. She then attended Redlands Community College for one year. Vicky had a passion for fashion design; her mom can recall one year in middle school, she designed a backpack made from a Capitan Crunch cereal box, and all the kids at her school just loved her creativity.
Vicky worked for Forever21, a woman' s clothing store, styling mannequins and staging window displays for the store. Although Vicky loved styling and designing, her true passion was to fulfill her brothers' dying wish for her to become a high fashion model and make a name for herself in NYC. When her brother passed in 2015 she started her journey to stardom. Vicky was destined to be something great! She had the passion and support of her entire family, which led to her ambitions to be signed with a modeling agency in NYC.
Victoria first signed with Blink modeling agency in Oklahoma City; she was offered a few modeling jobs, but she wanted to branch out of the town she was born; she wanted to be signed with big-name agencies in New York. She started sending her portfolio to numerous agencies in NYC. During NY fashion week, Victoria received a call to come to New York for a casting but was turned down, which broke her heart but not her spirit. Her mom encouraged her to keep going, that she was one yes away from her dreams, and never give up, so she did just that. Victoria acquired good friends in the modeling industry and started attending private castings to be seen and recognized. She walked on runways, and attendees were blown away by her walk, confidence, boldness, and pure beauty.
Global NYFW called her back to walk for them in her first show. She fell in love with NY and NYFW and decided she would pursue her dream full-time. Her industry friends she met along the way offered her room and board so she could attend castings when traveling back and forth from Boston to work. Once she became acclimated in New York, she decided to stay permanently. She moved into a model home with other models and worked with different promoters who booked them for various shows around NYC. It was a dream come true for her.
The pandemic hit the country hard but New York even harder. NYC shut down for months, making it hard for Vicky to find modeling jobs, so she started working for Delta Airlines to support her lifestyle. However, this was a hard time for everyone but that didn't stop Victoria's drive. She would still go to castings when offered, walked for the NY fashion week in September and February, and did swim week in Miami in the summer. Her last and final show was with NY fashion week Vouge Mexico, and her entire family was proud of her. NY fashion week was a big show she'd wanted to walk for since she had a dream of becoming a model. Although a life cut short, Victoria fully lived hers. She had a dream and she fulfilled it quickly and did it with style and grace. Victoria will be truly loved and missed by many, but her memory will live on through her family and friends that loved her dearly.
