Verlia R. Dubose, age 85, passed on July 16, 2022 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born Verlia Roy Jones in McAlester, OK on April 1, 1937 to Leroy Jones and Roberta Jones. After graduating McAlester High, she moved to the Oklahoma City area. She worked many jobs as a  housekeeper, elementary school teacher aide, school office aide, and in home health care provider. In the early sixties she met and married Urale Lee Dubose. They raised five children and lived in Spencer, OK. Verlia loved God and was a faithful Christian and worker in the church. She is survived by her children; Cheryl Cummings, Thomas Dubose, Carol Sutton, and Donald Dubose.
