Velma Brown was born, November 5, 1952, in Guthrie Oklahoma.
She attended Douglas High School and went on to study at Langston University.
Velma had a strong faith in God and would often give encouraging quotes to her children. 
Velma was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, son, and three sisters.

Pamela Brown, and Wesley Crockett. Eight grandchildren; Jasmine Stands (Cass), Deja Brown,
Sierra Brown (Justin), Tanasha Brown, M'Khyla Brown, Zeta Brown, Mariyah Crockett, Kaleah 
Crockett, and Desmond Brown. Seven great-grandchildren, Two sisters, and one brother, many
other relatives and friends.
