Thelma L Gipson was the youngest of eight children born to Henry and Mattie James on March 1, 1934, in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma.

She attended King Rosenwald School in Tuskahoma and graduated from Douglass High School. She attended Hillwood Missionary Baptist

Church.

She married Charlie L Gipson November 21, 1954. and had two children.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce M Gipson, her husband, parents, 4 sisters and two brothers.

She leaves behind her daughter, Teresa Gipson Harvey, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, one sister and several nieces, nephews,

cousins and friends.
