Sadie was the forth of eleven children born to the late Alfred Sr. and Alice
Turner. She was born August 21, 1933 in Meridian, Oklahoma.

Sadie graduated from L'Ouverture school in Meridian, Oklahoma in 1951.
She completed one year at Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma and
received a Certificate in Cosmetology.  Later on, she built a career at The
Children's of Oklahoma Hospital (now known as The Children's Hospital
at OU Medical Center) as a Food Supervisor in Department of Dietary for
30 years before retiring under the Oklahoma Teacher Retirement in 1988.

She was united in marriage to Thomas Jenkins, Sr. on July 11, 1954.  They
celebrated 51 1/2 years of blissful marriage.  To this union three children were
born - Twyla Thomas, Jr. and Celina (all resides in Dallas, TX.).

Sadie professed Christ  at an early age at Church of Living God in Logan
County held at the Big Oak school. After marriage, she joined First African
Methodist Episcopal Church and served as an usher, stewardess, missionary,
trustee for over 40 years.

She enjoyed cooking (was a great cook), gardening, traveling, spending time
with grandchildren and in her early years - enjoyed her time on the bowling
league and playing softball ( however, admitted that she was the slowest player
to run to the bases).

She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred Sr. and Alice, her devoted husband,
Thomas, all of her brothers and sisters.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, two daughters, Twyla Stephens, Celina Walker;
one son, Thomas Jenkins, Jr; five grandchildren - Alain, Jaron, Jaden, Taryn and Aiden;
one daughter-in-law, Tamara Jenkins; one son-in-law, Andre Walker and host of loving
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
