Obituary
Pearl Alene Edwards was born June 30, 1930 to Allen and Pricilla Edwards in Luther, Oklahoma.
She was the first born of three children.
She is preceded in death by both parents, two brothers: Alfred and Elvin. 

Pearl attended Dunjee High School, Langston University and Kansas State Teachers College in
Pittsburg, Kansas, there she completed her training in Medical Technology. She was employed
at Mt. Carmel Hospital. She was also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Alpha Zeta.

In Her career she was employed as a clinical laboratory scientist at the Queens of Angels
Hospital, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, and King Drew Medical Center in
Los Angeles, California. 

Pearl leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family members and friends.

For we know that if our earthly house of this
tabernacle was dissolved, we have a building
of God, a house not made with hands, eternal
in Heaven.
Therefore, we are always confident, knowing
that, while we are at home in the body, we are
absent from the Lord.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to
be absent from the body, and to be present with
the Lord.
