Maurice Henry Benefee "Reecey", was born August 11, 1953 to Maurice Benefee Sr. and Verbena Littlejohn (Loggins) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the fourth born of five children. His grandparents, father, and two brothers preceded him in death.

Maurice was raised Episcopal and that God judged man based on the intent of his heart; not solely by the acts or works he does.
Maurice was a 1972 graduate of Douglas High School in Oklahoma City, Ok. He was a member of the Douglas Trojans marching Band and held the title as the All State Track Athlete, he was active in the community, where he assisted his father with the family upholstery business, known as, Benefee Co.

Maurice was called home on June 26, 2019. he leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Verbena Loggins; five daughters, Tiffani R. Martin, Tori R. Benefee (Threatt), Marietta Benefee (Turner), Sydnee A. Jefferson and Shanacee G. Jefferson. Two sisters; Elrosa Edwards (Metz) and Jana Loggins. Eleven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends

THE RACE

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course and I have kept the faith.

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the

righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.
