Mary Reed's Obituary
?
In loving memory of Mrs. Mary Reed who was born on September 14, 1941 to Robert James Downs Sr. and Lola Mozee Downs in Lott, Texas. She graduated from Dunjee High School in 1959 after she attended cosmetology and dietary school. She worked as a dietician for Highpoint Home but retired from Donoghue Rehabilitation Center after many years of work.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell Reed, both parents, three sisters, Alberta Berry, Joyce Downs, and Baby Girl Downs; six brothers, Dan Pete, Robert Downs Jr., Cecil Downs, Charles Downs, James Downs and Calvin Downs.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ezell Swain Jr. (Sharletha), Belinda Northerton and Darrell Swain Sr.; Her grandchildren, Quennette Olowookere, Jessica Courtney, Quenisha Northerton, Darrell Swain Jr., Chrystal Hines, Katie Alexander, and Ezell Swain III; one brother, Delbert Downs (Carla); two sisters, Carrie Harris and Sharon Denton (Freddie); and a host of great grandchildren, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Grandma,
Grandma I'm missing you so bad right now, I'm wishing I could make a call to heaven just to hear your voice again. Now I'm sitting here thinking that this feels like a bad dream; but when I wake up, you're still not here with me.
Grandma I'll never forget the things you taught me and told me. Even if I didn't want to hear it, you always kept it real with me. There's not a day that goes by, that I won't think about you, your pretty smile, heart filled with gold, and all the kind things you've done. You will truly be missed! Until we meet again, I'll continue to cherish the time I had with you, I thank God for blessing me with a grandma like you.
I Love You
