Larry Dewayne Kendrick was born August 16, 1958, to John & Mary Etta Kendrick in Wichita Falls, TX. His family later relocated to Seaside, CA in 1964 where Larry attended Manzanita Elementary, Martin Luther King Jr. High, and Seaside High School class of 1976.

Larry became acquainted with Jesus Christ at an early age when his family united with a local Baptist Church in Seaside, CA. After high school Larry worked for Seaside Sanitation Department before relocating to Oakland, CA in 1977, and later moved to Oklahoma City, OK in 1986 where he worked as a Restaurant Manager.

Larry was the first kid to ever destroy a Tonka Truck. He was a daredevil at a young age and would be seen jumping garbage cans on his bicycle or seen flying down the street full throttle on his mini-bike. After he tore up his mini-bike, he picked up roller skating. Roller skating became one of his passions and he could easily skate up to 20 miles with is boom box on his shoulders. His love of music was his family legacy, he could be heard belting out notes in the shower. Larry loved joking around and was always looking for a good time. He never met a stranger in his walk of life because he had love for everybody and always left a lasting impression on all he met.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Etta, paternal grandparents Benjamin Harrison & Ella Bell Kendrick, maternal grandparents Mary Elizabeth & William Wilson Sr., his son Larry D. Kendrick Jr., and two brothers Clifton and Ritchie Kendrick.

He leaves to cherish his memory, Stepmother Naomi Kendrick Oklahoma City, OK, three sisters: Johnnie Ruth Kendrick-Ejofor Abilene, TX, Mardina Kendrick-Blackshire Midwest City, OK, Sherri Kendrick-Lewis (Troy) Edmond, OK. Ficve brothers: Robert Kendrick (Ella) DeSoto, TX, John Edward Kendrick (Syrilla) Oklahoma City, OK, James Haril Kendrick (Shantara) Farifield, CA, Kanahl Kendrick (Narisse) San Jose, CA, Leslie D Kendrick (Rochelle) Midwest City, OK. One aunt, Elizabeth "Ann" Locket Abilene, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of close relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
