On July 13, 1955, LaJunta Miller was born to Jessie Lee Henderson and Claude Smith in Spencer, OK. He accepted Christ at an early age at the First Baptist Church, Green Pastures. Upon passing he was a member of the Church of the Living God. He was a deacon.

On October 13, 1973, LaJunta married his high school sweetheart, Yvonne Dunlap. To this union on March 16, 1976, a beautiful girl, LaVonta Marie was born. On August 19, 1996, God blessed LaJunta and Yvonne with a son they never had in the person of a grandson Ce'Von LaJunta Miller. LaJunta was the most giving person, if you were fortunate to have known him you would have been blessed by an angel.

After fulfilling a profession in Electrical Engineering for forty years, LaJunta retired from OG&E in 2013. He was a member and treasurer of Classic Collection Vintage Auto Club, AKA C.C. Riders.

LaJunta departed this earthly life on April 8, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Miller and parents Jessie Lee Miller Henderson and Claude Smith.

LaJunta leaves to cherish his memories the following individuals, his daughter, LaVonta and grandson Ce'Von. He leaves, a host of sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

His two favorite sayings were, "Too blesses to be stressed" and "Bless by the best and praying for the rest."
