Katherine (Williams) Matthews was born October 23, 1924 to Benjamin and Mary Williams in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She attended Guthrie public schools and graduated from Faver High School. She later married Paul Matthews and had two children, Paul Steven and Mary K.

Katherine was a member of First Baptist Church and gave a valuable serive to the Women's Ministry until her health failed her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eleanor Stevens, Betty Williams, Ernestine banner; two brothers, Spurlyn G. Williams, Melvin Williams; and two children, Paul Matthews and Mary Harding.

Katherine leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Gregory Williams, and Leonard Williams (Flossie); and a host of relatives and friends
