James Albert Edwards "Peanut" was born on February 15, 1958 to Albert Buford and Gloria D. Edwards-Randle in Jackson county, Missouri.

James moved to Oklahoma City where he met the love of his life Wanda Ware Johnson.

Together James and Wanda raised 9 children. James leaves to cherish his memory; his children James "Chewy" Edwards ll, Alexis Tulikihakau (Otinili Tulikihakau), Robin Edwards, Gloria Edwards, Juanita Gilliam, (Michael Gilliam), Jewelisa Edwards, Elijah Anderson, Dena Morrison(Myron Morrison) Donte Frazier, Michael Frazier. James left a great legacy.

James was preceded in death by his Mother Gloria D. Edwards-Randle her Beloved Twin sister Doria Jean Myers, His sister Robin Felicia Edwards, Brother Johnny Robert Edwards. His maternal Grandparents Ammie Thompson and Milton Edwards Sr.
