Glenell
Jones
Jan 27, 1933 — Nov 13, 2019
Glenell Jones was born to Robert and Arzalia (Cobey) Gardner, Jr. January 27, 1933 in Carney, Oklahoma. She was the eldest of six children.
As a young girl, Glenell accepted Christ while attending Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, in Wellston, Oklahoma where her father was the pastor.
In 1950, Glenell became a proud member of the 1950 graduating class of Dunbar High School in Wellston, Oklahoma, where she was class valedictorian. Glenell married her first love, Reverend Leroy Nealy, in 1952, To this union, nine children were born, including: Carl, Paul, Marcus, Kenneth, Francis, Andrew and Reba. Through a previous marriage, a son and a daughter also became part of the family: Leroy Jr. and Linda. In 1971, The Lord called Leroy home, so Glenell had to adjust to the realities of single parenthood while rearing six boys and a baby girl. However, the Lord is faithful; in 1979, she married Hoover Jones, Sr.
Glenell was truly a soldier in the Army of the Lord. Whenever opportunity presented itself, much like the apostle Paul, she'd encourage and exhort her family and other to stay and stand firm with the Lord. One of her famous questions was "Do you know Jesus?" The Life Glenell lived among us well exemplified her love for her dearest Christ Jesus.
Glenell was preceded into Glory by her parents, husband Hoover Jones, Sr. and sisters Esther Murphy and Robbia Nelson.
She Leaves behind many family members to cherish her memory and legacy: sons Carl Nealy (Cynthia)of Kansas City, Missouri; Paul Nealy (Viola) of Lewisville, Texas; Marcus Nealy (Tamensia) of Grand Prairie, Texas; Kenneth Nealy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Francis Nealy of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Andrew Nealy (Marsha) of Spencer, Oklahoma; Victor Jones (Ruby) of Yukon, Oklahoma; Hoover Jones, Jr. (Brenda) of Oakland, California and daughter Reba Pindell (Joe) of Euless, Texas; sisters Delora Henderson and Charlesetta Robertson both of Spencer, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Sarah Mosley of Carson, California and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins and other loved ones.
Weep Not For Me
Author Unknown
Weep not for me though I have gone
Into that gentle night
Grieve if you will, but not for long
Upon my soul's sweet fight
I am at peace, my soul's at rest
There is no need for tears
For with your love I was so blessed
For all those many years
There is no pain, I suffer not
The fear is now all gone
Put now these things out of your thoughts
In your memory I live on
Remember not my fight for breath
Remember not the strife
Please do not dwell upon my death
But celebrate my life
