Eleanor Ruth Greene Stevenson was born on July 18, 1946 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.  She was the second child born to Verbenia V. Jefferson and Warren Coleman (WC) Greene.  Eleanor attended Guthrie Public Schools and graduated from Faver High School.

For several years Eleanor attended the Church of God.  She sang in the choir and supported this congregation with her talents.  She was a member of Mt. Olive Friendship Baptist Church as well a member of the Culinary Ministry where she prepared meals for the needy.

She loved God and had a close relationship Him.  This was evident by her faith, how she lived her life, and how she treated people.
