In the Presence of the Lord

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of our loved one Edward Davis.  He will be missed by all of his family and friends.  We cherish his memories and we will celebrate his life.  Our peace comes from the presence of God.  Weeping may endure for a moment but we know that joy comes in the morning.

Edward Lee Davis, born July 16, 1944 to Preston D. Davis and Genie Bell Davis in Birmingham, Alabama. Raised in Birmingham, Alabama. moved to New York City at the ages of 17.  He met and married Betty G. Bolden.  He served in the United States Army for the three years.  He worked in New York City and Oklahoma City Park and Recreations.

Studied in Ministry for many years.  Doctor of Divinity from University Bible Institute of Birmingham Alabama.  Oklahoma School of Religion Certified Pastoral Ministries.  Pastor of the Open Hand Missions for ten years.  Served as Associate Pastor for several churches in OKC.

Edward was a husband, son, father, grandfather, friend, and most importantly a Child of God.  We will miss you until we meet again on the other side.
