Born the youngest of 10, Calvin Leroy Thompson was born on August 29, 1961, in Oklahoma City to Flora and Narsella Thompson.

Calvin attended Star Spencer High School where he played on the basketball team. He graduated in 1979 and enlisted in the armed services. After leaving the service he worked odd jobs, finally finding success with Wendall's Landscaping.

He was called home on May 12, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents; Flora and Narsella Thompson, 2 sisters; Narvella Coulter, and Virgina Moore and 1 grandson, Calvin "CT II" Johnson. He is survived by 5 brothers; Thomas Thompson (Grace) of Wilmer, TX, James Thompson of Oklahoma City, Royce Thompson of TX, David Thompson of Lincoln, NE, and Christopher Thompson (Bertha) of New Orleans, LA, 2 sisters; Joyce Thomas of Austin, TX and Esther Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK and Alicia Johnson of Midwest City, OK. Calvin leaves 11 grandchildren; Decalvion, Jamelia, Tevin, Samoni Mae, Tyrique Cani, Jasiah, Janoveah, Cincere, Ty'Maree, C'Tecyia, & Da'Karia and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
