Obituary

Brenda K. Davis was the daughter of the late Clarence Zeigler and Gladys Mae Brown and was born February 16, 1959, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was called home to rest in the morning hours of Friday, May 26, 2023. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Brown, her sister, Stephanie "Cora" Brown, and her beloved son, Reginald Davis Jr., who passed away in infancy.

A fun-loving, charismatic person who enjoyed shopping, dancing, and visiting friends, Brenda K. was affectionally known to many as "BK". She loved a large portion of her early life in Oklahoma City, OK where she graduated from Douglass High School in 1976.  Brenda K. accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was an active member of St. Mark Baptist Church. She was united in marriage with Reginald Davis in 1980. Upon their union, Brenda K. assumed the dutiful role of a military wife and traveled both nationally and internationally with her family.

Although Brenda K. moved away, she never forgot about her family back home. Family history was of great importance to her, and she worked very hard to keep in touch with all generations of her family. Brenda K. would often call or stop in for visits, just to spend time and catch up with the extended family and friends that she had grown up with.

Over the past year, Brenda K. courageously battled a host of health issues. Yet, she remained strong and determined- even until the day God called her home. Brenda K. leaves to cherish her memory two loving daughters, Mahogany Brown of Texas and Jacqueline "Jackie" (Jason) Horsford of Maryland; five sisters, Verinda Addison of Texas, Ola Mae Zeigler of Ohio, Linda Zeigler of Oklahoma, Karen Brown of Georgia and Cynthia (Will) Williams of Texas; one brother, Norman Earl (Beverly) Simmons; one grandchild, Jasmine Horsford of Maryland; one fur-baby, Starbuckii K.P. Brown of Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
