Beatrice Marie Doolittle was the first child born to Phillip and Rosie Bell Kater on June 26, 1924, in Crescent, OK. She was a happy girl who held on to a dream of becoming a beautician one day, she would make that dream a reality. During her youth you could find her at the dance hall "cutting a rug" doing the jitterbug. She confessed her hope in Christ at the age of twelve, being baptized in a river in the "elbow" in Guthrie, OK. Beatrice had two careers: one as a cook and one as a beautician. She was praised in both fields, and made her dream come true. She me the love of her life, George Singer, and they married May 28, 1942 in Guthrie, OK, and had seven children: Georgia, Wilma, Darlene, Dorothy, Kenneth, Larry, and Stanley. Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory six of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
