Barbara
Coleman
Dec 28, 1934 — Jan 2, 2023
Barbara Eugene Coleman was born December 28, 1934 in Holdenville, OK to Booker T. Bruner Sr. and Angetta Shaw. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Booker T. Bruner Jr. and Eunetta Monroe, and her youngest son, Keith Coleman.
Barbara was homeschooled by her Aunt Eunetta, a traveling educator who took her on the road with her from New York to California. Her home was a communal home. She never turned anyone, in need, away from her door. She earned her wages as a long-term house keeper to some of Oklahoma's prestigious doctors. She was an avid OU football fan and a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. She enjoyed a good time on the water fishing and sweets, sweets, sweets. Barbara came to know Jesus and became a member at Judah Christian Assembly, where Bishop Donald Woody Sr. presides.
She is survived by her eleven children; sons: Jackie Davis of Midwest City, OK; Nick (Cheryl) Bruner of Meeker, OK; Melvine Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK; Ronald (Kim) Coleman of Houston, TX; Michael Bruner of Jacksonville, FL; Tyrone Bruner of Oklahoma City, OK; and Herbert Coleman of Oklahoma City, OK; daughters: Jacqueline (Jimmy) Berry-Bruner of New Orleans, LA; Elaine Coleman of Oklahoma City, OK; Glenda Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; and Sonya (Gerald) Rogers of Midwest City, OK and adoptive daughter, Sheila Webb of Oklahoma City, OK. She leaves to cherish her memories, over 35 grandchildren, over 60 great grandchildren, her old friend Edith Henderson and a number of other family and friends.
