Audrey S. Baker, mother, and friend to all, passed out of this life and into glory Monday, October 10, 2022. She is survived by her two children Kellie Lori Mitchell (Jerome) and Delbert Lenard Webb (Sheryl), three grandchildren DeMarcus Dupree, Randi Williams, and Alexander Mitchell, and one great-grandchild DeMarcus Dupree Jr. She was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Webb and Samuel Stewart, and her husband, Willie G. Baker.

Audrey dedicated her life to the education and well-being of children. She graduated from Southern A&M College with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and later on became a certified teacher. She spent the later of her career as a principal/school administrator, where she met and befriended Rita Gray Martin. Rita made such an impact on Audrey, that she took her under her wing and mentor her career. Audrey also had a great love for her church and the Episcopalian community, to whom she diligently served for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

The family would like to take this time to express their gratitude to the host of friends, family, and medical professionals for their care of Audrey during her illness and a special thanks to Mrs. Camille D. Gordon for her unwavering guidance, care, counsel, and support through this difficult time.
