Andrea L.
Wright
Nov 1, 1976 — Oct 5, 2022
This handsome guy named Andrea Ladell Wright was brought into our lives on November 1, 1976, to Charles Etta Wright and David LeRoy Dumas. Andrea is and always will be in our minds, hearts, and souls. He loved his 211 Reserve, believe me he did. He didn't have any children of his own, but all his nieces and nephews made the exception of having his own family. Andrea was raised in the church, starting with Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, later joining 1 st Douglas Baptist Church in Luther, OK, then moving on to the Church of the Living God P.G. & T. in Duncan, OK. Andrea attended all Oklahoma Public Schools; he graduated from Duncan Senior High in 1996. He later joined the Army in 1999 and was based in Ft. Polk, LA. He completed his contract there becoming an E-5 Sergeant with the 1 st 509 th infantry Airbourne in Ft. Polk. He also earned many awards and medals like the good conduct and army achievements. Though he was afraid of heights, he jumped out of a C-130 and Kiowas Chinese Ch-47 Snooks as well as a Cult 25635-8397 Colby. Andrea enjoyed life and having fun with his family and friends, he was there when you needed him. He met a lot of people who loved and adored him like he was one of their own. Andrea was proceeded in death by his parents Charles Etta Wright Williams and David LeRoy Dumas; 3 brothers McQuallias A. Wright Sr., David L. Dumas Jr. and Leroy Robinson; 1 sister, Colisha R. Wright; 5 uncles, Oscar Dumas, Jasper Dumas, M.C. Harvey Wright, Sylvester Wright and Roy Wright Sr.; 5 aunts, Josephine Dumas, Lovie Dumas, Illene Dumas, Juanita Wright and Rosie Wright; a stepmother, Patricia Dumas; grandparents, Minnie E. Wright and Harvey Wright and Maple H. Dumas. Andrea was a fighter. When he was diagnosed years ago, he fought against all odds until God called him home. Andres leaves to cherish his memories, a siter, McShunda Wright (Chris); a brother, Rodrickeia Wright; 2 stepsisters, Peggie Dumas and Janet Dumas; stepfather, Herman Smith; 3 aunts, Ola Mackey, Dorothy Henderson and Helen Beard (Johnny); a great uncle Jordan Knight; a special mother figure, Linda Morton; 27 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews; 3 God children, Zyderick Jenkins, Titus and Aaleia Sochs; and a special cousin/brother, Clearence "Puncho" Castle; and a host of relatives and friends.
