Alvin I Jackson was born to Columbus(House) Jackson and Elizabeth Oliver April 8, 1934 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the eldest of nine siblings. On July 26, 2019 Alvin completed his life's journey.

Alvin accepted Christ at an early age and untied with Church of God in Christ. He attended Douglas High School in Oklahoma, City, OK. Alvin married Mary E. Goodman on December 23,1956. To this union two lovely children were born, Lilliam Lavonne and Michael Jerome.

Alvin was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jackson, parents, three sisters and two brother. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his daughter Lillian Thomas (Wayne) of Oklahoma City, OK and son Michael Jackson (Yolanda) of Durham, NC; two grandson of Oklahoma City, OK; two brothers; Jerome Jackson of Jacksonville, Florida and Chris Jackson of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters; Regina Glover of Atlanta, GA and Cyvilla Hutton of Athens, TX; numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
