A Life Well Lived

Aguinaldo G. Haynes, Jr. was born October 05, 1929 to Minnie Chappell Haynes and Aguinaldo G. Haynes, Sr. in Goodnight, Oklahoma. Buddy departed this life June 17, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was baptized early in life and attended Mount Olive Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent and sang in the church choir.

His early education was under the leadership of his father at L 'Overture high School in Meridian, Oklahoma. Aguinaldo graduated from high school in 1948. Following graduation he worked at the Oklahoma Furniture factory, Tinker Air Force Base, Carter Chevrolet cars and Stouts Produce.

On June 30, 1951 Aguinaldo married Nelia Durley, his childhood friend for many years. Nelia and Aguinaldo were blessed with three children. Aguinita, Cheryl and Jimmy. Everyone loved and respected Aguinaldo for his loving and sharing ways. He helped so many people along his life's journey.

Aguinaldo is proceeded in death by his parents; Aguinaldo G. Haynes Sr. and Minnie Haynes, sister; Amelia Matthews, Betty Jean Lewis, brothers; Henry and Beaul Haynes, grandparents; Laura and Ezekiel Chappell, and two children Cheryl and Jimmy Haynes.

Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters; Aguinita Haynes Drake and Saundra Scott; one sister Maythel Bolden, twelve grandchildren; Devonne Drake, Cherrell Drake, Bernita Drake, Felicia Traylor, Keyea Haynes, Shaun Thompson, Jamel Thompson, Richard Wheeler, Keith James, Mayla Scoot, Kayla Scott, Natjuan Scott. Thirty-four great grand children and one great great grandson, a host of nieces and nephews, his devoted friends; Gerrie Moon, Minnie Horton, Richard Martin, Michael Wyatt and his first wife Neila Bell Durley Haynes.
